Manually configuring a Linksys Wireless-N Range Extender

Linksys Extender Setup allows you to increase the strength of wireless signals in areas where the signal strength is limited. So, if you got new Linksys Wireless-N Range Extender and want to configure it then you can follow the given steps:


Before you start with the process, make sure that you have:
Wireless Network Name.
Network security key or WIFI key.
Wireless Channel.

For checking or changing the Wireless range extender settings, you are supposed to log in to the cloud account of Linksys from the Login Page.
Steps to configure the Wireless Range Extender

Connect the extender to the computer using the Ethernet cable.
Plug in the power adapter and turn on the extender. Wait until the LED lights get stable.
Open a browser and enter the IP address in the URL. If you have no idea about the IP address, you can check it from the manual.
If prompted for the username and password, then enter ‘admin’ in the password and leave the username field blank. After that login.
Enter the network name.
Visit the security section and choose the security type for your extender.
Save the settings.
Disconnect the extender from the router and wait for the 30 seconds after that reconnect it.
Wait until the LED lights get stable.
